Official Site of the City of Sopchoppy, Florida

The City of Sopchoppy was first chartered in 1905 and chartered a second time in 1955 under Florida House Bill 1523.  Located 35 miles southwest of Tallahassee, the capital city of Florida.  Sopchoppy is quietly surrounded by the Apalachicola National Forest and the St. Marks Wildlife Refuge.  The town is situated on the east bank of the Sopchoppy River connecting to the Ochlockonee River which eventually empties into the Gulf of Mexico.  Combined, these natural resources enhance the quality of life for those fortunate enough to call Sopchoppy home.  Saltwater and freshwater fishing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, observing wildlife, water skiing and hunting are some of the activities that are enjoyed by visitors and residents alike.

Planning a reunion, wedding or party, we have the perfect place for you.  Contact us for rental information on the Gym or the Park.
