Welcome to the city of Sopchoppy, Florida's website where you can get information on the City, our City Commission, services, local events and to reserve city facilities.  Sopchoppy is a small yet unique town located near the gulf coast; 45 minutes southwest of Tallahassee. Nestled in the heart of the Apalachicola National Forest, we are a haven for the outdoor enthusiast.  From hiking, fishing, canoeing, hunting and camping, we have it all.  In addition to that, it is a great place to call home!  We invite you to explore our website to read about the many opportunities we offer.

SEWER PAYMENT CHANGE EFFECTIVE MAY 28, 2026
Effective May 28, 2026, sewer payments will no longer be accepted.
  • Payments received after this date will be applied to your water account.
  • No refunds will be issued for sewer payments made to the City of Sopchoppy after this date. Any overpayment will be applied to your water account as a credit.

7/10/2026 - the agenda for the July 13, 2026 meeting is available.
6/22/2026 - Persons interested in seeking a seat on the Sopchoppy City Council may obtain an information packet from the City Clerk’s office.  Two seats on the Council will be open for the 2026 election which will be held November 3, 2026.  Get more information.
6/2/2026 - The Fair Housing 2nd Quarter 2026 poster is now on the Fair Housing page.
5/5/2026 - The 2025 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is now available on the website.
