Accomplishments and Service: Ashley Schilling began her employment with the City of Sopchoppy in 2004 and was appointed in June 2016 to serve as the Clerk of Sopchoppy. Mrs. Schilling has her A.S. in Business Administration/Accounting from St. Petersburg College and has completed the requirements to earn the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. She is a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and the Florida Association of City Clerks.
The City Clerk is appointed by and serves under the direction of the City Council. The Clerk's office is the oldest profession in municipal government providing an array of services to the public. This office is dedicated to serving the community in a professional, ethical, impartial and equitable manner. A Municipal Clerk performs activities prescribed by state and local laws.
